The invitation
Behind every Naija woman in the diaspora is a story the world may not fully know.
The sacrifice behind the success. The transition behind the smile. The responsibility behind the strength. The faith behind the survival. The reinvention behind the life she is building.
Between Home and Abroad is creating a dignified, emotionally rich space for Nigerian women in Houston to share the truth of their journey, not just what they have achieved, but what it took to become.
This is not about perfect stories. It is about real ones.
About the show
Between Home and Abroad is a documentary-style conversation series featuring Nigerian women in the diaspora as they reflect on identity, marriage, motherhood, ambition, family responsibility, cultural tension, sacrifice, faith, reinvention, and the meaning of home.
Future editions may include Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, DMV, London, Toronto, Alberta, and beyond.
Why Houston
Houston is home to a vibrant Nigerian and African diaspora community filled with women who are building families, careers, businesses, ministries, legacies, and second chapters.
This first edition will spotlight the untold stories of Naija women across Greater Houston, women who have carried home in their hearts while building new lives, navigating transitions, raising families, pursuing purpose, and becoming in ways many people never see.
Who we are looking for
We are not only looking for women with impressive titles or public success alone. We are looking for women with real, powerful stories that inspire.
You do not need to be famous. You do not need to have everything figured out. You only need a meaningful story, a willing heart, and a desire to help another woman feel seen and less alone.
What we may feature
Guests will never be pressured to share anything they are not ready to share. The goal is dignity, truth, and emotional safety.
